Connect Members to MailChimp List
Connecting your WordPress site with a MailChimp email list is a great way to stay in touch with your members and grow your audience. By allowing users to subscribe to your MailChimp list directly from your site, you can easily gather email addresses and send updates, newsletters, or promotions. With the ProfileGrid plugin, this process becomes even simpler, allowing members to subscribe during registration or from their profiles. In this guide, we’ll show you how to let your WordPress members subscribe to a MailChimp list, making it easy to manage your email marketing efforts.
MailChimp Integration Extension
Download and activate MailChimp Integration extension. Right after activation, the MailChimp integration extension will appear in the Global Settings page. This will allow users to apply this feature globally on all groups. Now if you click on the MailChimp integration menu, it will lead you to a page called the MailChimp Settings page.
Here, you’ll have to activate a toggle to Enable MailChimp. Also, from here, you can retrieve your MailChimp API Key from the link given on the page. Lastly, after pasting your API Key in the given space, click on ‘Save’ and exit the page.
Your next task is to create a List from where you will allow users to subscribe MailChimp list. You can create a new list from your MailChimp account, from where you retrieved your API key.
Once you’ve created a list, navigate to the MailChimp option under the ProfileGrid menu. This will take you to a page similar to the one shown below.
This page is called the New List page. To create a new list, click on the ‘New List’ button in the top left corner. Under the ‘Send to Mailchimp List’ option, select the same list you created earlier on the MailChimp site. Be sure that this is the list you want users to subscribe to.
Enabling the MailChimp Tab
You now have to go to the Group Manager page from the ProfileGrid option under ProfileGrid menu.
Select the group where you want to allow users to subscribe MailChimp list. Click on ‘Settings’ on the bottom left corner of the group. Go to the Edit Group page. Activate the Enable MailChimp toggle, select the List and activate the Enable MailChimp Tab toggle.
Click on the Save button to integrate MailChimp subscription in the group registration form.

Let’s start by reviewing the registration form that users will use to subscribe to the MailChimp list
In the example above, we see the group registration form with a toggle that gives users the option to join your MailChimp list. When a user enables this toggle, a Newsletter tab appears on their profile, as shown below.
As shown, users can easily toggle the newsletter subscription on or off whenever they choose
