The WordPress ProfileGrid plugin offers users various fields that can be displayed on the frontend. The registration date is among them. So in this article, we will display registration date in WordPress user profiles with the help of membership plugin, ProfileGrid.
Adding Fields On User Profile
ProfileGrid allows users to create beautiful community-based WordPress websites. On these sites, users can create multiple groups and welcome registered users. Let’s have a look at the list of options provided by ProfileGrid.
From here, the ProfileGrid link will take you to the ‘Group Manager’ page. This page shows all the groups and its consisting users.
Now in order to display registration date in WordPress user profiles, first, you need to select a group. Then click on the ‘Fields’ option at the bottom right corner. You will find a list of fields opening up. From there select the ‘Date’ field.
You will land on the ‘New Field’ page where you have to determine the content, position, and appearance of this field. You can select the privacy of this field, decide whether you want to make it a mandatory or optional one with many other options.
Now you just need to click on the save button to display registration date in WordPress user profiles.
Success On The Frontend
First, we need to check if the Date field has appeared on the registration form only then it can appear on the user profile.
So in the above frontend view of the registration form we see the registration date field has appeared. Now since it’s marked as a compulsory field, when a user fills up this form, they have to write the date here. Also, I have selected the option “Display on Profile Page”, this will display registration date in WordPress user profiles.
As shown on the frontend view of the profile of user ‘User 2’, you can perfectly place the registration date on the ‘Profile’ section. I selected the ‘Profile’ section to display the date earlier in the ‘New Tab’ page.

We saw how easily with the help of ProfileGrid we could display registration date in WordPress user profiles. This plugin can add unique features to your site and also provides several extensions of its own. It can integrate other plugins on user profiles through custom tabs and offer its own list of shortcodes. Its predefined list of fields makes it a cakewalk to create registration forms. Can users edit this field? If yes, how can that be disabled?
Hi,
As of now, the feature to allow users to edit the Registration Date field is not available.
We have noted and forwarded it to our development team to review and add this feature in one of our future releases.
Thank you,
