How to Assign Groups to Users Based on WooCommerce Subscription

In this article, we’ll guide you through the process of automatically assigning users to specific groups based on their WooCommerce subscriptions using the ProfileGrid plugin. This feature allows you to easily manage and organize your subscribers, ensuring they’re placed in the right groups for tailored content and benefits. It’s a great way to enhance user experience and streamline your site management. Let’s get started on setting this up!

WooCommerce Subscription Integration

WooCommerce Membership Subscription lets your users subscribe to specific products and purchase them repeatedly. Many membership and subscription websites offer rewards to encourage users to subscribe more often.

One common reward is assigning users to special groups based on their purchases. These groups might offer additional perks like special pricing, discounts, and more.

To automate the process of assigning groups based on WooCommerce subscriptions, you can use the WooCommerce Subscription Integration extension. This tool automatically adds users to a ProfileGrid group when they purchase a subscription and removes them when the subscription expires.

For example, if you want to reward users for purchasing a specific subscription, you can make them members of a special WooCommerce group that offers exclusive discounts, pricing, and other benefits. This extension helps you provide extra incentives to your users, encouraging them to renew their subscriptions and continue enjoying group benefits.

Note: Before installing the extension, you need to make sure that you have to activate a few plugins such as WooCommerce, ProfileGrid Memberships, and WooCommerce Subscriptions

Features and Possibilities

The WooCommerce subscriptions and memberships integration have various features related to the WooCommerce group assignment that you can utilize on your website. Here are some of the features:

  • On the basis of the subscription, you can assign one or more than one group to this user.
  • You can disable or enable groups for an individual if they have purchased a particular subscription product.
  • If the subscription expires, users will automatically be removed from the group.
  • A closed group can be assigned to the users automatically without seeking admin approval.
